Contest Submission Rules

- Must be a student in an Elementary School, High school, or Post Secondary Institution and must be between the ages 14 – 20.
- Submissions must be received by September 15th, 2008. Any late submissions will be disregarded, no exceptions!
- Submissions must be made Online (digital submissions) through www.communitycave.com
- Artists are not limited to the number of submissions but each must accompany it’s own contest registration.
- Entrants will not be individually contacted, except selected entrants or declared winners, who will be contacted via telephone.
- The winner will be selected by a panel of 5 or more judges, consisting of members from Toronto Crime Stoppers, Communities Advancing Valued Environments and the Canadian Student Institute.
- Submissions should be based on the artists’ interpretation of "COMMUNITY". Winning submissions that go into print will include the Toronto Crime Stoppers logo on the T-Shirt and thus the artist need not incorporate it into the design. Artists are encouraged only to be bound by their imaginations
- By submitting digital images through the electronic registration system, you are granting permission to Toronto Crime Stoppers and CAVE to post the images for public display, including the CAVE websites.
- The final winners agree to provide the original print copy of their piece and provide it to Toronto Crime Stoppers for the design and printing of the T-shirts. The originals will become property Toronto Crime Stoppers and CAVE.
- The contest sponsors assume no responsibility for entries lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected, or for the failure, interruption, technical malfunction or delay of any other communication to be received for any reason.
- Submissions if in the form of paintings/drawings must be produced on a size 8.5x11 standard letter paper or larger. A digital photo must be sent through the online registration system. It is recommended that the artists keeps a copy of the original in case it is selected as the winning piece. If the winners cannot produce the selected piece as an original drawing, they will no longer be recognized as a winning submission. The Judging panel will then grant the second place winners as first prize winners.
- Submissions in the form of digital artwork must be submitted in a JPEG file format
- By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these contest rules, which are subject to change without notice. Each entrant releases the Contest Sponsor, its parent and affiliated companies, their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents and advertising and promotional agencies, from any damage, loss or liability suffered as a result of or arising from the entrant’s participation in the contest or the use of any prize.
